Affordable Care Act Information and Enrollment Assistance

Let's Get Covered Will County!!!

The second annual Open Enrollment for the Health Insurance Marketplace is almost here! Beginning November 15, 2014, individuals and small business owners can begin to shop for affordable health coverage options through the federal Marketplace, with coverage beginning January 1, 2015.  Do not delay!! Open enrollment for the Health Insurance Marketplace will close on February 15, 2015. (**Please note that Illinois Medicaid has no deadline, you can apply for Medicaid at any time throughout the year if you qualify).

Shopping for health coverage can be challenging. That is why the Will County Health Department has specially trained In-Person Counselors (IPC) available to assist you through the entire enrollment process. Call today to speak with an IPC who will be able to answer your specific questions and schedule a one-on-one personal appointment to help you enroll in the Marketplace or Illinois Medicaid. Appointment times and dates are flexible, and will be scheduled to meet your needs. All IPC services are FREE.

In-Person Counselors, also known as Navigators, are also available to present to community members to educate, answer questions, and schedule appointments in order to reach as many eligible consumers as possible in Will County.

Appointments are preferred, but walk-in appointments are welcome at the Joliet Office Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Appointments are also available at the Eastern Branch Office in University Park and the North Branch Office in Bolingbrook.

If you would like to make an appointment for assistance with enrollment, have questions regarding the Affordable Care Act, or would like to request an IPC to speak at a community event, please contact the In-Person Counselor program hotline at 815-727-5990.  You can also email questions or leave your contact information at info@willcountyhealth.org.
