The mission of the Will County Community Health Center is to improve the health of the residents of Will County by providing access to quality integrated medical, behavioral health, and dental care through community collaboration, service and education.
The Will County Community Health Center has been caring for the under insured and uninsured residents of Will County since 1996. The Center received its' Federal designation in May 2001 and evolved from the Clinic Service Division of the Will County Health Department, replacing fragmented clinic care with holistic primary care services.
As the oldest Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Will County, WCCHC is dedicated to its role as a safety net provider, serving all residents regardless of age, race, national origin or ability to pay. Multidisciplinary care is provided six days a week, plus 24 hour physician accountability. Services include Pediatrics, Family & Internal Medicine, OB/Gyn, Family Planning, Immunization, psychiatry and counseling Laboratory and Dentistry. Charges are based on a sliding fee scale. This health center receives HHS FUNDING and has Federal Public health service (PHS) deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals.
The Center is strategically located in the heart of the east side of Joliet at 1106 Neal Avenue.
