Community Mental Health Outpatient Services

The Adult Mental Health Program of the Will County Health Department Division of Behavioral Health  provides outpatient community mental health services for Will County residents who have symptoms of a serious mental illness, and in some cases with concurrent substance abuse, that are serious obstacles to community functioning.

The Adult Services staff work in collaboration with the persons served to develop treatment objectives and interventions that best match the client's strengths and resources to assist them in attaining their life goals.

Adult mental health outpatient services are provided at convenient locations in Joliet, Bolingbrook, and Monee. Services are provided Monday – Saturday from 8:30 A.M. – 7:00 P.M. (office hours vary from location to location ).

Description of Adult Mental Health Outpatient Services

The goal of Adult Services is to preserve and promote the emotional well-being of  Will County residents who are experiencing mental illness. Clients receive an array of services that may include:

Who is Eligible

Adults age 18 and older having a mental illness and/or a history of a serious mental illness, which can be appropriately and safely served in a community-based outpatient setting.

Adult Outpatient Services are provided by a staff of professionals including:

  • Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors
  • Licensed Clinical Social Workers
  • Registered Nurses
  • Board Certified or Eligible Consulting Psychiatrists
  • Bachelor Level Case Managers
