Since 2009, Will County has teamed with the National Association of Counties (NACo), to offer a drug discount card program for Will County residents. The free discount prescription card is widely available to all Will County residents, and can be used to save an average of approximately 24 per cent off the retail price of commonly prescribed drugs.

NACo cards are accepted at many Will County pharmacies and are also honored by a national pharmaceutical network featuring thousands of retail locations. There are no enrollment forms, no membership fees, or limits on frequency of use.

The card offers significant savings for the uninsured and under-insured. And, even those who have prescription coverage can use the card to save money on drugs not covered by their health plan.

NACo discount cards are available at Health Department locations in Joliet, Bolingbrook, and University Park. The cards are also available through many other local units of government. County residents can also print out their own card by visiting
