The new school year is coming! August happens to be "National Immunization Awareness Month," and the Will County Health Department's Walk-In Immunization Clinic has extended its hours to help accommodate all needed school immunizations.

The Extended Hours are as follows:

AUGUST 2nd to 18th: No appointment needed

Mon, Tues, Thurs 8 AM to 4 PM

Wed 10 AM to 6 PM

Fri 8 to 11:30 AM

AUGUST 21st and thereafter: Normal Hours, No Appointment Needed

Mon, Thurs, Fri 8 to 11:30 AM

Tues 1 to 4 PM

Wed 1 to 6 PM

Closed: fourth Friday of every month

Each person registering for immunizations must have their full shot record and their insurance cards.

If you request your shot record from the Will County Health Department or request the Will County Health Department to look up your Medicaid information, you will not be able to register for immunizations until you have your records in hand.

Children under 18 years old must be accompanied by their parent/legal guardian.

Location: Will County Health Department

501 Ella Avenue

Joliet, IL 60433

To reach the Immunization Clinic entrance, follow the sidewalk located to the left of the Family Health Services/WIC building, inside the fence. At the split, stay to the right and go up the ramp.

If the volume of patients exceeds the number of people that can be served that day, the clinic will stop taking patients earlier than the posted clinic hours.
