All Kids/FamilyCare

All Kids is a free or low cost health care program for children under 19 years of age, pregnant women and their babies. If a child already has insurance, All Kids may help pay for the child's insurance premium. Eligibility is based on family size and income.

Who can apply

A parent may apply for children who live with them. Additionally, another relative (grandparent, aunt, sibling, etc.) may apply for children they are caring for in place of the parents. A teenager living on his or her own may apply for him- or herself. A pregnant woman of any age may apply.

FamilyCare

FamilyCare has been added to the All Kids Program. A parent or other relative caring for children in place of the parents may also apply for coverage for themselves.

What is covered

Doctor and nursing care, immunizations and preventive care, hospital and clinic care, laboratory tests, x-rays, prescription drugs, psychiatric care, podiatry, chiropractic care, physical therapy, mental health, substance abuse services, prenatal care.

How to apply

Will County Health Department - Family Health Services Division can help you fill out an application or, by request, we can send you a mailin application that you can fill out yourself. Call the Family Health Services Division at the following numbers:
