The Freedom From Smoking program is an American Lung Association program designed to help people to quit smoking.  It is based on the latest research on addiction and behavior change, this medically sound program addresses the difficulties of quitting with a sensitive, encouraging style and is delivered over the course of eight sessions.  This program is offered in at variety of community locations and can be offered in a corporate setting.

The Illinois Tobacco Quitline is a specialized one-on-one over the phone cessation counseling program available Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Quitline offers support in a variety of languages as well as a TDD line for the Deaf and Hearing Impaired.  All services are completely confidential and free.  Call 1-866-QUIT-YES.

The Not On Tobacco program is a school-based teen quit smoking program, typically offered in high schools or alternative schools.  This program effectively covers the entire quitting process from analyzing why they started smoking to learning how to prevent relapses.  This program uses a variety of multi-media experiences and participatory activities to get the teens involved in their quitting plan.  It meets one class period each week for eight weeks.

Tobacco Control offers a variety of prevention programs for ages 4-18.  These programs can be offered in after school programs, day care facilities, schools, and community settings.

Tar Wars is a one session prevention program with an optional poster contest for 4th and 5th grade students.

Teens Against Tobacco Use (TATU) is a program where teens are trained to present tobacco prevention messages on the dangers of smoking to youth in their school district.
