HIV Program
The Will County Health Department HIV Program performs a multitude
of services which include:
- HIV counseling & testing services
- Educational presentations to schools and other interested community groups
- Risk reduction counseling
- Group prevention and support
- Partner referral services
- Social service referrals
- Community outreach
The HIV Program works to prevent the spread of HIV by providing anonymous or
confidential HIV counseling and testing FREE of charge in many locations in Will County.

STD Program
The Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Program conducts surveillance on positive
cases of chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis in Will County. Partner notification services
are also available. Surveillance efforts follow strict procedures to ensure the
confidentiality of STD case reports.
The STD Program also conducts educational presentations in the community upon request.
STD Program presentations focus on STD prevention, signs and symptoms of STDs, STD treatment
guidelines, and referrals for STD screening.
