MAPP Process
Mobilizing for Action through Planning and Partnerships (MAPP) is a community-wide strategic planning approach to assessing community needs and improving community health.  It provides a comprehensive framework for understanding and addressing the strategic health issues of the county.  Using MAPP, communities seek to achieve optimal health by identifying and using their resources wisely, taking into account their unique circumstances and needs, and forming effective partnerships for strategic action. The MAPP process is driven by a broad based community planning group, called the Steering Committee, resulting in a comprehensive community plan designed to improve the local public health system.
