Health Care Program Assistance for Children and Pregnant Women

All Kids is a free or low cost health care program for children under 19 years of age, pregnant women and their babies. If a child already has insurance, All Kids may help pay for the child's insurance premium.

This low cost insurance program allows for a parent to apply for children who live with them. Additionally, another relative (grandparent, aunt, sibling, etc.) may apply for children they are caring for in place of the parents. A teenager who lives on his or her own may apply for him or herself. Pregnant women of any age may apply and may quality for a temporary medical card (MPE) as well as ongoing coverage.

FamilyCare has been added to the All Kids program. FamilyCare allows a parent or other relative caring for children in place of their parents to apply for coverage for themselves.

Eligibility

You must live in Illinois and be either:

Under 19 years of age
A pregnant woman
A parent or other relative who cares for children in place of their parents

Eligibility is based on family size and income.

Application assistance is provided free of charge by appointment.
