The 25th Annual “Back to School Fair” sponsored by Catholic Charities: Diocese of Joliet was held on August 3rd at Joliet Catholic Academy. This event is a one stop health and human services event for low-income families with children ages newborn to 18 years who live in Will County. For 10 years, Behavioral Health has had a table which provides information on our various child and adolescent services and distributed “back-to-school kits”  At this year’s fair, five hundred (500) such kits were distributed to needy families. Each kit contained basic school supplies, which were purchased with funds donated by the management team and staff of Behavioral Health. Donations from staff came in at $700 which was used to purchase supplies. Donations also came in from the health department’s Administration and the CHC Staff. The event was coordinated by Maria Cordova and Dr. Rita Gray.
